Client Challenge:
A long time successful family owned health care organization was plagued with multiple obsolete and new flailing IT systems and heavy IT expenditures which had led to newly implemented systems not working as promised. It was explained to Jerry that they had no in-house IT expertise to provide insight and proper direction on best technology practices to move business forward. Bottom line was nothing dependent upon their wide area network was working proper, if it worked at all.
The Solution:
Jerry was initially brought in as a consultant to meet with the Owner and business leadership team to perform an assessment of current IT infrastructure systems and and devise solutions to resolve the list of then current issues, to be followed by assisting the company in hiring the right fit IT Director. Upon the delivery of Jerry’s initial assessment it was discovered that the end-to-end IT infrastructure was essentially broken across the board. Jerry advised the owner and leadership team that he could resolve these issues with a prioritized approach to their business operations and IT systems. With no luck in finding a IT Director who had the needed skill set to fulfill the positions responsibilities, Jerry accepted the position of IT Director. The course of implementing Jerry’s technical solutions spanned over a 9 year period. Major project initiatives included… Overall design and hands on implementation of a wide area network spanning within 12 offices within the greater Puget Sound Area. Writing a technical RFP for the plan of implementing of a client-server Electronic Health Care Record to better position the business operation and become HIPPA compliant. Another major project initiative was the design and configuration of Active Directory processes followed by a company wide 220 Thin Client computer roll out running a customized install of Windows 7. Over the course of several years, Jerry’s technical expertise and leadership brought about numerous technical innovations, considerable IT spend savings and contributed to the success of the overall business operation.
